 Mission Project: churchwide Food drive for HaCoBA

HaCoBA= Hamilton County Baptist Association

On Going Projects

Women on Mission give $20 each month to the HaCoBA (our association Mission Center) for them to purchase canned food for those who come to the center seeking help.

Collecting Campbell's labels for an Appalachia Center.  They are looking to raise money to get a van to take people from shelters to the food kitchens.

Eye glasses - old eye glasses (washed and placed in a baggy) to be sent to the mission field with an eye doctor who fits those needing them.  These can be placed in baskets provided in the Senior Adult Alcove.

Our organization is interested in praying for and contributing to missions in various ways.  But we need others to come along side and help us reach more people!

What is Women on Mission?

A group of women who love missions and are committed to supporting missions through prayer, giving of their time and financial support.

How can you be involved?

Attend monthly meeting to be an active member of this organization.  Meetings are currently held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 12 noon(with a few exceptions, see meeting dates below).  Bring a sandwich and the hostess of the month provides the rest of the meal.   Look for an additional meeting time starting in Sept. 2011....an evening meeting time will be announced!

Who can attend W.O.M...is there an age requirement?

ANYONE!  Women on Mission is designed for ladies just out of high school and older.

What takes place at the monthly meetings?

We eat a meal, everyone brings a sandwich and the hostess of the month provides the rest of the meal.  The facilator will lead the meeting with current information about mission opportunities, current and upcoming projects and more.  On certain occasions we will have missionaries, short term missionaries or speakers come join us for the meeting.   This is an encouraging time to see what God is doing in the world and how we can be involved too!

Even if you can't attend the monthly meetings

you can be a part of the mission projects each month.
